I know I haven’t been doing weekly writing updates for a while. But there is one good reason for that: there hasn’t been any writing. Well, there has been a little here, and a little there, but no good solid word counts.

See, I started school, and even though I only go two days a week, its enough to disrupt my schedule. And since I hate school its enough to make my picky/creative/moody side not want to write. BUT I’m hoping to get some writing done tonight, and I did do some Tuesday night.

I need to learn to write even when I have stupid school to deal with. I can’t finish a novel in the three months I don’t have to go. It’s just not possible.

Gees, after I eat dinner I’ll write. Right now all I can smell is turkey and stuffing.

On to another subject.

I was house sitting at a place with no internet (imagine my horror since I’m one of those people who is constantly plugged in) and so I got a little lax with my promoting. I need to do some more. I need to actually blog at Desire from the Darkside, and I need to do more character profiles. I did the beginning of a few at the house, but I’m bad, and didn’t finish them. Next up are Dagger and Alexandros. Everyone will know when they go up.

Worked on Archer’s Story all week, including this weekend. I know I said I’d do the short story on the weekend, but I’ve really been on a role with Archer’s Story. I’m thinking Almost Human for the title, but I’m not sure yet.

I got a little off track this week with trying to make decisions about what I want to work on, but I’m back on track. The bad news is that I didn’t accomplish as much on one project as I would have if I’d actually focused. BUT on the upside, I plotted my first fantasy romance novel, and a new short story. It’s a ménage à trois, so it should be interesting. I’ve decided that the weekends will be for writing this story, unless I get crazy inspired (kind of like I am right now) and I have to work on it. I didn’t write at all on Monday, because I’m bad.

1/10/10 – Worked on the fantasy novel: 501 words
1/12/10 – Fantasy novel: 1,212 words
1/13/10 – Plotted the Fantasy novel and wrote 573 words on it.
1/14/10 – Fantasy Novel: 217 words
1/15/10 – Archer’s Story: 1,143 words
1/16/10 – Plotted the menage story and wrote 806 words on it.
1/17/10 – And today, so far, I’ve gotten 843 words on the menage story.

I’m not going to do final totals for each of these, because I’m lazy and don’t feel like looking it up.

Gees, I need to come up with some titles for all these WIPs. *Sob* And my day planner just sliced my finger open. But I guess that’s what happens when you get to close to something. It just has to push you away. I was too clingy.

Time to get all updatey. I wrote everyday this week. Yesterday I did character charts and some outlining for my fantasy novel, which I guess technically doesn’t count. But I plan to start working on it, so that kind of stuff has to get done. I wrote a little on the free read I’m going to put on this site. Soon I might be working on a menage short story, so tonight I plan to do character charts and outlining for that, or I might finish up the fantasy novel planning.

Woo, I wrote almost everyday this week. In addition to actual words on Archer’s story, I also did more on the outline. I’m not sure how the story ends though, because it could end several ways. I guess I’ll have to do a little more writing on it before I decide which one fits best. I’m in love with this story. Its going to end up having some interesting things in it, and I’ve got a lot of world building going on in it.

The one thing I didn’t get to do this week was work on my free read. For those of you who have read Fear of Darkness, I’m going to be writing a short free read for Natalya and Vahe to add to the content of this website.
